To kick start their new science topic of reversible and irreversible changes, Year 6 visited Life Science Centre. As well as visiting the planetarium, experiencing the 4D motion ride and interacting with robots, they really enjoyed taking part in a chemistry workshop. The children used a Bunsen burner to heat various chemicals, observing any changes which occurred. They then had to use their scientific knowledge to decide whether this would be a reversible or irreversible change. They even had time for a few trips around the ice rink to top off a brilliant day!
