Year 3 and 4 children had a fantastic day yesterday exploring the different designs in bridge construction by looking at the bridges over the River Tyne, past and present. They attended a workshop at The Discovery Museum in the morning and in the afternoon enjoyed a walk along the Quayside. The weather didn’t dampen their spirits though as they made their way up to Level 5 in The BALTIC Centre For Contemporary Art for shelter and fantastic views across the River.

Brooke (Year 3) ‘Did you know that the Millennium Bridge is the world’s first and only tilting bridge?’
